“Montana Sky” is the perfect sum total of all the previous offerings combined. Companioned with Charlie Russell's painting, The Round Up, it's as if channeling Russell fraternizing with some of his Native friends, he celebrates the spirit of the roundup, implying that no matter what happens in the context of the greater society, people of good faith can still bond, especially through the discipline of hard work and the love for the land it’s done on:

Roundup only reaches

On a recent US tour, Morin visited his songwriter friend Dave Duncan in Nashville, TN. Duncan is a well-known Nashville songwriter and has lived in the Music City for decades. During his visit, he explained his project to Dave and invited him to collaborate on a song. He showed Dave some paintings and wrote a short description of life at his grandfather Robbie Yellowtail’s house in Lodge Grass, MT. It wasn’t long before they were tossing lines back and forth. This is the very last song to be recorded for this project. Cary was happy to collaborate with his friend Dave and pleased that this song occupies a spot on this album.
